Thompson Estate invites you to our vineyard to view an exhibition of works by internationally acclaimed and renowned sculptor from Vermont USA, Peter Lundberg. Peter is Thompson Estate’s first Sculptor in Residence and creates monumental sculptures from earth, concrete and steel. He also casts works in bronze, working from clay models. Peter’s works are held in private, corporate and government collections in the USA, Germany, Scandinavia, China and Australia.
We are delighted that Peter Lundberg has chosen to work with Thompson Estate and utilise the unique Margaret River terrain in his sculptures. Peter’s work is also well known in WA, through his participation in Sculpture by the Sea Cottesloe. One of his pieces “Wuyi “was acquired by the Town of Cottesloe and is now located at the intersection of Marine Parade and Curtin Avenue, Cottesloe. In October 2012 he was winner of the Major Prize at Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi.
Visit Sculpture by the Sea Cottesloe 2014 (7 March – 24 March) and view Peter’s cast bronze exhibit, “Adam and Eve”. Peter Lundberg’s website: http://www.peterlundberg.com.
