The vines are subject to the meticulous, yes even loving, attention of our viticulture team and there is a continuous conversation throughout the season with the winemaking team on the canopy management to get the ideal balance to protect the vines from harsh sunshine but ensure even and generous ripening, and the optimal time of picking. We follow organic and biodynamic principles in ensuring sustainable practices in our vineyard.
In recent years, we have got to know our vineyard even better and now can identify differing parts of the vineyard with unique characters for inclusion in our highly regarded chardonnay, cabernet sauvignon and blends of cabernet. We are confident that the careful selection of parcels of fruit will continue to enhance our ESTATE wines.
All wines are made on site in our own winery under the watchful eye of our master winemaker, Bob Cartwright. This integrated, constantly developed teamwork approach from a site with a unique character has returned many accolades for our Estate wines. While collecting medals is not our main aim, it is pleasing that wine shows and the critics we respect, regularly give our wines their enthusiastic endorsement.
